About us

Tania Chadwick, the instructor at Fortis Agility, has been training and competing in agility for over ten years.  She has reached the top levels in all three major agility organization in the US and has attended the AKC Agility Nationals and the USDAA Grand Prix of Dog Agility World Championships.  Tania has also been published in Clean Run, the nation's leading dog agility publication and currently reports on local USDAA trials and other topics for the USDAA website.

Tania focuses on drive, motivation and handling for agility and works with handlers to build confidence in themselves and their dogs.  Handlers will experience a stronger relationship with their dogs on and off the agility field as a result.

Whether teams are working to strengthen the bond with their dogs or refining their skills for competition, dog agility can be a fun and exciting sport!

About the dogs

Tania's Golden Retrievers were nationally ranked in the top ten amongst Goldens competing in AKC agility and her dog Marley was the top ranked Golden Retriever at the 2001 USDAA's Grand Prix of Dog Agility World Championships in Del Mar, California, placing in the top 10% amongst all 26" dogs.

In 2002, her veteran agility dog, Murphy, placed 7th in the Veteran's Grand Prix at the USDAA's Grand Prix of Dog Agility World Championships in Dallas, Texas.  In 2003, her other Golden Retriever, Marley, was the Veteran's Time Gamble Champion at the USDAA's Grand Prix of Dog Agility World Championships in Dallas, Texas.

Her youngest dog, a Border Collie named Kidd, earned the USDAA's Agility Dog Champion Title in 2003.  Kidd is currently ranked in the Top Ten in all categories in USDAA competition.  Tania and Kidd were also finalists in the Steeplechase at the 2004 USDAA World Championships held in Scottsdale, Arizona.
