Murphy's Amber Fireside Glow

I was born on October 31, 1994, in the hills of Lotus, California, past Sacramento. There were actually two litters on the property, there were 20 of us puppies to choose from! I tried real hard to be the most active and chew on any shoelaces I saw , so I would get picked. When I was picked, I heard them say I was a wedding present.

I was the only dog for about a year, but then there was some talk about "wanting another one". I didn't really think that was necessary. Then, one day Marley arrived. I wasn't really excited to see this upstart chewing my toys. After a week or so she turned out to be ok, I kinda like her, well... I sorta really like her a lot. We play all the time. Marley always wants to 'wrasle', she bites my legs and my ears, but don't worry I pummel her back!!

She's pretty cool!

I thought I was one-of-a-kind!
But alas there are lots of Golden Murphy's...

The Murphy girl-dog Golden/Lab mix.
The Murphy boy-dog who visits Nursing Homes.
The Murphy boy-dog from So. Cal (Southern California).
The Murphy boy-dog from Michigan.
The Murphy boy-dog mountain-pup from California.

If you are a Golden Murphy and want to be listed here...send me an email.

A nice portrait of me on my first birthday, which is on Halloween! Air Murphy!

A Poem by Murphy:

"Biscut Jar"

Oh that lovely jar on the 'fridge...it's contents to sample, maybe just a smidge.

When I'm  good, or for tricks, I'll take one just for kicks.

Yummy, crunchy, tasty biscut...much more than just a triscut.

Oh how I long for that tasty treat, I'll perform just about any feat!

I also love to do agility. It's a canine sport which got its roots in equestrian show jumping. It consists of the handler and athlete (myself) negotiating an obstacle course while the handler uses only hand/body commands and vocal commands. It is judged by time and faults.
It is a lot of fun!
